Happy to Introduce to You, Kevin Peterson!

Wow - the past six months at The Squad have been a whirlwind! Taking a moment to reflect on it all, we are so thankful for all of the growth we've experienced within our agency. As we've begun new strategic partnerships and filled our website pipeline we've also grown our team, starting with Spencer back in January and adding five more team members since then. Over the next few weeks we are going to introduce our newest team members.

We've been courting Kevin Peterson for a few months, and we're excited to announce that it's official. Kevin has joined our team as our newest Director of Partner Marketing and first Creative Director!

Kevin came alongside The Squad as a design contractor back in February and pretty quickly we knew we wanted Kevin on our team. His background in strategic communications and his eye for design make Kevin a natural, whether he's leading clients or pumping out graphics behind the screen.

How did you get connected with The Squad?

I connected with Bryce one fateful Sunday morning at church. It was one of our first weekends back in town after living out of state for a few years. Our wives had been in a bible study together and were excited to run into each other. When Bryce asked what my background was and what kind of work I was looking for I answered "something in the marketing communications field." Ashley, Bryce's wife, not so subtly gave Bryce an elbow to the ribs as if to say, "Hey, this sounds like someone you should talk to." That began a series of conversations that ultimately led to me joining The Marketing Squad.

What’s one thing you love about working here so far?

The people. The team at The Squad has been very welcoming and they have created an atmosphere of hard work and collaboration. Our clients are fun to work with as well. They place a high value on effective marketing and trust our leadership in that area.

What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy just about any activity that includes my family. I have a wife and two sons and we love to watch movies, play games, and see new places. I also enjoy just about anything that requires using your hands. My day job is a mix of meetings and screen time, so I enjoy coming home and cooking dinner, tinkering in the garage, or working on a home repair project.

What are your passions as far as your career is concerned?

I love collaboration and teamwork. Any environment where I can work with other people to accomplish something collectively that none of us could have done individually is satisfying to me. I also enjoy the opportunity to think creatively about organizational development and growth. This scratches my itch to think strategically.

Anything else people should know about you?

I grew up in Kansas, graduated from Kansas State (Go Cats!), moved to Louisville, met a pretty girl from California, married that girl and began raising our family here in Louisville. I believe without a doubt the Denver Broncos are the greatest sports team on the planet and I'm happy to debate this point with anyone. My favorite food is whatever anyone else makes (with a few exceptions). Mountains or beach? I used to be a strict mountains guy, but after a few trips to the beach...I'm on the fence.
