Tate Ornamental is a one-stop shop for design, fabrication, installation, and freight. They specialize in making creative stairs, canopies and handrails through metal, wood and stone fabrication.

Marketing Challenge

Tate Ornamental has distinguished themselves as a company that produces interior and exterior structures that are truly works of art, but the original website was not designed to showcase the breadth of their work. Specializing in structures that are not only functional but also visually-captivating meant that Tate needed a website that functioned similarly to an art gallery. We were tasked to display their design and fabrication capabilities while constructing a user flow that clearly communicated the different divisions of their expertise.

Solution

A modern WordPress theme was the first step to creating Tate's new site. We designed a layout that displayed their past projects through background images, overlay boxes, and image galleries. No matter where a user is on their site, he or she will always see images of Tate's work. To differentiate between the three main divisions of Tate's expertise each category was given its own primary page which had subtle color changes while still maintaining uniformity with the overall theme of the site. We created a user flow that is easy to navigate and is tailored so that each page offers the user an opportunity to request more information or initiate a project with Tate. This same flow was recreated on a mobile responsive site to make Tate's work accessible on any device.
