Bodyworks

When Dr. Conliffe approached us about designing and developing a new site for his practice, Bodyworks Musculoskeletal Medicine, his greatest desire was to educate potential patients and to generate leads through his educational content. Highlighting his team and sharing testimonials from his patients was key as well.

Additionally, search engine ranking was important. People experiencing pain often turn to the internet to research their symptoms, which returns a multitude of treatments and cures for the given condition. Dr. Confliffe not only wanted his website to rank well in search, but he also wanted it to convey expertise, establish trust, and feel approachable for potential patients looking for treatment for their pain.

A key part of achieving this goal was custom photography and video on the site that showed the actual practice and staff rather than generic stock imagery.

The Challenge

When Dr. Conliffe approached us about designing and developing a new site for his practice, Bodyworks Musculoskeletal Medicine, his greatest desire was to educate potential patients and to generate leads through his educational content. Highlighting his team and sharing testimonials from his patients was key as well.

Dr. Confliffe not only wanted his website to rank well in search, but he also wanted it to convey expertise, establish trust, and feel approachable for potential patients looking for treatment for their pain.

Photography

For the website, we had two main focuses with the photograpy: showcase the team and familiarize potential patients with the practice.

We used their office as the backdrop for their headshots to create a warm and inviting tone to their team page. It was important, though, that we choose an area of the office that was static so that we could continue to replicate the headshots as their team grew.

To capture the atmosphere the Bodyworks’ office, our Media Designer spent a day shadowing Dr. Conliffe and photographing the experience. These photos were then used as header images and for graphics throughout their site.

Video

We wanted to use video on their website to grab the attention of potential patients when they reached the homepage and to give a taste of what to expect when you visit the office.

For the hero video on Bodyworks’ website, our Media Designer captured the day to day activities of the staff interacting with patients and each other. This process required getting permission from patients before beginning to film.

We also shot patient testimonials videos to give potential patients a personal perspective into the treatment and service at Bodyworks. We collaborated with the Bodyworks team to develop interview questions and gather background information on the different types of treatment processes. The testimonial video shoots were then scheduled a few weeks in advance with patients willing to share their story. When it came time to shoot the testimonials, we chose a comfortable room in Bodyworks’ office to set the scene and guided the patients through the shoot with prompting questions.

In addition to office photography and videography, we’ve also captured video for custom social media ad campaigns and educational content.

Web Design

Extensive time was spent learning to understand who Dr. Conliffe’s patients were and what specifically set his services apart from similar practices in the region. Based on Dr. Conliffe’s goals and what we learned about Bodyworks’ differientiators and services, we designed mockups of the website to represent their branding while conveying expertise and a clean, modern look and feel.

Then the task of organizing and writing the content could begin. The original content on Bodyworks’ site was complex and difficult for the average patient to understand. Our goal was to simplying the advanced terms and complicated processes to help potential patients better understand Bodyworks’ services.

The end result is a website with detailed information, relevant content offers, and appropriate calls-to-action throughout the site. As potential patients navigate to louisvillebodyworks.com through internet searches, social content, newspaper ads, or digital ads they are met with well-organized content and clear next steps.
