The Marketing Squad is looking for a talented copywriter who loves to tell a story to grow a business. This teammate will eat, drink, and sleep the written word – a true wordsmith and storyteller with a knack for taking an angle and making a story.
You can’t be scared of the following:
- Talking to people. You’ll conduct quick 5-10 minute interviews with key staff members at each of our partner clients to get the scoop. We will never ask you to be a subject matter expert. We will ask you to be accurate.
- Visiting a partner client to observe their business. Think of yourself as an embedded reporter. A journalist there to capture the story and share it with the target audience. Don’t worry we don’t work with just any partner clients. We seek out and work with some purple cows.
- Writing with a process in mind. Readable by people, indexable by search engines, and sharable by the world is the goal. No worries, we’ll take your skills and creativity and unleash them in our process.
We’ll provide training on how we do what we do and get you caught up to speed quickly on all of our partner clients.
In this position you’ll likely be writing content for blog posts, email newsletters, email blasts, social media posts from time to time, content pieces like ebooks, whitepapers, guides and infographics, as well as website copy updates for partner clients and some projects.
Average week might consist of writing blog articles for 15 different partner clients, along with crafting copy for some content offers and creating some tag lines for call-to-action graphics.
Our focus in this agency is on lead generation and business development for our clients. Awareness is a great by product, but not the end goal.
